William (Butch) Ogden

Entered the United States Army January 1970.  Served in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972.  My dad signed me up in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6464, while I was in Vietnam (December 1971),

I am married to Peggy for 51 Years and we have three children, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.  All our children and grandchildren are life members of the Auxiliary.

I have led the Post to achieve the status of All State and All American for the past three years consecutively.  I have served as a director for Camp Trotter for Children for the past 25 years, been on the State Honor Guard for the past 20 years, served as chairman of the Livingston County Trust Fund for several years and was District 6 Commander from 1999-2000.

I am serving on the Fowlerville 4th of July committee, and have just received the 1st Community Patriot of the Year award in 2021.

My continued goal is to keep VFW Post 6464 a viable Post, serving Veterans and the Community in which we live.
