Quartermaster - Marines

Joined the United States Marine Corps in my Senior Year at Williamson High School.  Departed to Recruit Training on the 23 June 1975.  Military Occupation Training at Naval Air Station, Meridian Mississippi in 1976. I have served in Marine Flying Squadrons, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadrons, Marine Aviation Group Detachments’, Special Staff Officer to Marine Aircraft Group Commander as Aviation Supply Officer, Headquarter, Fleet Marine Force, Pacific, Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific and Commanding Officer, Marine Aviation Training Support Squadron 1, Naval Air Station, Meridian, Mississippi; coming full circle back to where I received my initial Military Occupational Training. 

I attained the ranks; Private to Staff Sergeant, Warrant Officer to Chief Warrant Officer 4, Limited Duty Officer as Captain, converted to the unrestricted rank of Captain and Major (True Mustang).  Retired after 29 Years, 7 Month and 15 Days of Service. 

Qualifying Service for Veterans of Foreign Wars Membership: 

Served aboard the USS American in the S-6 Department, with VMAQ-2 Detachment, during combat operation, Libyan Expedition, earning the Navy Expeditionary and the Marine Corp Expeditionary Medals, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for Operation Eldorado Canyon-Libya. 

Combat Operation during Desert Storm and Desert Shield in Saudi Arabia; earning Southwest Asia Service Medal. 

Was married for 19 Years to my former spouse Deborah and we have three children: Matthew, Andrew and Kimberly 

Served at the Post Level:  Junior Vice Commander, Quartermaster, Adjutant and Commander.  (Two time as All-State Commander and One time as All-American Commander, two Times as All State and All-American Quartermaster). 

Served at the District Level: Junior Vice, Senior Vice and District Commander.  I have served as the District Voice of Democracy, Patriots Pen and Teacher of the Year Chairmen and Buddy Poppy Chairmen. 

Served as Hospital and Gold Star Mother Chairmen at the Department Level.
